Why DIY Bachelorette Party Decor?
As someone who recently planned her own beach bachelorette in 30A, Florida, I quickly realized that the little details are what make a celebration feel special. I wanted my bridesmaids to arrive and immediately feel like they were stepping into my “brand trip.” At the same time, I couldn’t justify spending hundreds (or thousands) on items that would only be used once.
So I got to work!
Armed with my Cricut, countless Pinterest boards, and a vision for a chic coastal girls’ getaway, I created everything from custom cups and koozies to embroidered swimwear and welcome bags that looked far more expensive than they actually were.

- Tissue Paper: Amazon, LINK
- Tassel for Name Tag: Amazon, LINK
- Shell for Name Tag: Made with Cricut
- Napkins: Amazon, LINK
- Tulle: Amazon, LINK
- Table Runner: Shein, LINK
- Placemats: Shein, LINK
- Shells: Hobby Lobby, LINK
Nothing says “welcome to the weekend” quite like a thoughtfully assembled welcome bag waiting for each bridesmaid!
For my 30A bachelorette, I filled canvas tote bags with:
- Mini hair brush for the beach
- Drip Drop hydration packets
- Hangover recovery essentials
- Personalized itineraries
- Naturium lip gloss
- Turkish Towel Beach Towel
- Comfy + soft long sleeve and matching shorts for the bonfire night
2. Custom Items
Disposable Cameras
Disposable cameras are making a huge comeback for weddings and bachelorette parties!
The girls loved documenting candid moments throughout the trip. The photos ended up being some of my favorites from the entire weekend.
Drink Koozies
Customized koozies are a beach bachelorette staple for good reason. They’re affordable, functional, and instantly make your group feel coordinated.
I created the design in Canva, then used iron on HTV vinyl with my Cricut to apply them to the can cooler sleeves I purchased on Amazon! Leave a comment below if you’d like the Canva design link!
Personalized Door Signs
If you’re staying in a beach house, condo, or Airbnb, custom door signs are an easy way to make the space feel festive.
Using cardstock, acrylic, or foam board, create signs featuring:
- Theme of the trip
- Names
- “Future Mrs.”
- “Reserved for”
- Do not disturb
Again, leave a comment if you want the Canva template! I cut them out using my Cricut.
Custom Beach-Themed Cookies
One of the most unexpectedly memorable details from our 30A bachelorette weekend was a set of custom sugar cookies designed specifically for the celebration. Not only were they delicious, but they doubled as décor and were used in numerous spots from the welcome bags to the charcuterie boards and cocktail hour spreads.
For a coastal bachelorette theme, consider cookies shaped like:
- Seashells
- Starfish
- Palm trees
- Bikinis
- Sunglasses
- Champagne bottles
- Engagement rings
- Beach umbrellas
You can personalize them with the bride’s name, destination, wedding date, or fun phrases like “Last Splash,” “Bride’s Beach Club,” or “Future Mrs.”
If you’re feeling crafty, cookie decorating can even become a pre-trip girls’ night activity. But if baking isn’t your thing, many local cookie artists offer custom designs that look straight off Pinterest.
3. A Luxurious DIY Itinerary
If there was one DIY detail that made our entire bachelorette weekend feel elevated from the moment everyone arrived, it was the custom itinerary card.
The best part? It cost just a few dollars to create.
Using Canva, I designed a high-end itinerary card that looked like something you’d receive at a luxury resort or destination wedding welcome party. I incorporated our coastal color palette, classy fonts, and my “beach club” logo. Let me know if you would like the Canva template to the itinerary cards!
Your itinerary card can include:
- Arrival and check-in information
- Daily activities
- Dinner reservations
- Beach and pool days
- Transportation details
- Dress codes or themed outfits
- Departure information
Once your design is complete, print the cards on heavyweight cardstock directly from Canva’s print service.
Beyond being functional, itinerary cards become part of the overall aesthetic. They’re often one of the first things your guests see, and they help create that curated, thoughtful experience that makes a bachelorette weekend feel truly special!
Plus, they’re incredibly photogenic and look beautiful styled alongside welcome gifts, custom cookies, and personalized decor for those Pinterest-worthy arrival photos.
4. Custom Bride-Only Pieces
While matching items for the entire group are fun, there’s something extra special about creating a few custom pieces just for the bride. These personalized touches help her stand out throughout the weekend and make the celebration feel even more centered around her.
For my 30A bachelorette, I wanted a few elevated details that felt unique and photo-worthy without splurging on expensive designer items.
Consider creating:
- A custom tank top featuring “Bride,” “Future Mrs.,” or her new last name
- Embroidered bikini bottoms for beach and pool days
- A personalized beach towel with her name or monogram
- Customized pajamas for getting ready, lounging, and late-night girl chats
These pieces make for incredible photos throughout the weekend and can be used again during the honeymoon or wedding morning. They also create those little moments that make the bride feel celebrated every time she puts them on.
The best part? Most of these projects can be completed for a fraction of the cost of boutique bridal brands, while still achieving that luxury, personalized look that everyone saves on Pinterest.
One of my bridesmaids had an embroidery machine, so she did all of my custom pieces. You can find similar items on Etsy!
4. More Ideas: DIY Beach Bachelorette Decor
Custom Beach House Signs
Create signs for different areas of the house:
- Mimosa Bar
- Poolside Paradise
- Bride’s Suite
These details make the rental feel fully customized.
Create a Memory Book Station
Leave note cards throughout the weekend and collect messages for the bride. It’s meaningful and costs very little.
Create Custom Water Bottles
Hydration is essential during a beach weekend. Add custom labels or vinyl names to reusable water bottles for an elevated touch. This can easily be made on a Cricut!
DIY Champagne Labels
Transform inexpensive bottles of champagne by creating custom labels.
Include:
- Bride’s name
- Weekend dates
- Destination
- Fun sayings
They look fantastic in photos and cost very little to make. Also done very easily with a Cricut.
Final Thoughts: DIY Beach Bachelorette Decor
DIY beach bachelorette decor doesn’t have to break the bank!
The custom cups, embroidered swimwear, welcome bags, disposable cameras, and door signs weren’t individually extravagant. But together, they created an experience that felt cohesive, thoughtful, and elevated.
Bridesmaids notice when effort goes into the details.
And thanks to my Cricut, a little creativity, and plenty of Pinterest inspiration, I was able to create a luxury beach bachelorette experience that looked custom-designed without the custom-designed price tag!
If you’re planning your own coastal bachelorette weekend, don’t be afraid to DIY. Some of the most memorable details are the ones you create yourself!
